Labour has drawn up secret ‘Big Brother’ plans to hand the details of routine journeys taken by millions of innocent motorists to the police, it has emerged. Officers will be able to trawl private information recorded by traffic cameras when investigating even the most minor crimes, according to papers made public by an astonishing Government blunder. There are days reading the news that I have to pinch myself. Surely this is some type of a bad dream from which I shall soon awake.
